The goal of programs at the Center for the Constitution is to get beneath surface arguments to see what commitments lie at the foundation of American political insight and debate. This knowledge gives a key to understanding our public discussions and controversies. Those who have this key will have much more control over the discourse, whether they are observing it or conducting it. We at the Center for the Constitution are committed as well to a careful understanding of the documents that undergird our political way of life.
